The Tower of London Looms

In this work, the Tower of London’s formidable walls are rendered with textured beadwork to evoke their weight, history, and the many lives entwined with them. A small boat approaches Traitors’ Gate—highlighted in yellow—recalling the journeys of those brought to the Tower under accusation or threat. A solitary figure watches from the wall as dawn rises over the dark river.
A “ladder of hope” is integrated into the structure, offering a symbolic gesture toward resilience for anyone facing hardship. The hooded figure is purposefully timeless, connecting past and present through shared human experience.
